I bought these at a great price and had most of them in perfect condition. About half had a couple milk spots etc. but overall happy with purchase. Also who doesn’t like coins with spiders on them? Plus its a simple but nice design with a background that keeps the coins from getting scratched. Meaning they are made very well and unlike the Britannia and older maples, doesn’t really show hairline scratches.

Now that I have one of these, I Love it !!! I was wondering about some people reporting a “bland” looking none interesting,not detailed coin. Well that is WRONG – because this is a beautiful and nice detailed coin, and I love how the good amount of back flat, sets off the spider in it glory !!!!

this coin design is very nice, looks better in hand, for bullion, no complaints..had a tad milk spot

Although the Crocs had issues with their matte finish design I was hopeful these Spiders would correct that as I did like the overall look. Instead they feature a standard finish and the spider design is pretty boring and forgettable. Can’t argue with the price though it’s definitely not one of my favored coins.

First of all I like the coin. Don’t love it. Like it. I was surprised to see this coin came out of the Perth Mint. All the stuff I have seen by them, are all very pretty rounds (Yes even the saltwater crocodile). This one didn’t have milked spots or dings or scratches, but it was such a bland looking round. The spider doesn’t have any detail to it. The whole round is in a matte finish, it would have been better had they stayed with the original scheme and had the background matte and the animal mirrored. With the spider having no details and the whole round in a matte finish, it is a very boring round. Easily looked over as you look through your stack.

I ordered several different coins and products . All were very nice detailed except the funnel web coin . The coin was completely covered with milk spots over both sides of the coin . I called Provident to see about exchanging the funnel web for another one . The Provident rep. said that she could exchange it , but that there was no guarantee I would get one without spots . So I guess the mint is not cleaning the soap residue off of the coins before they are stamped . Too bad , it would have been a nice looking coin otherwise . The Provident rep. did give me some credit on some other products , so I guess I broke even .

The coins themselves are not anywhere as nice as the 2014 saltwater croc. They went away from the “frosted” or “matte” finish and went with a shine behind the images. I think the frost made it look different and nice, now its just another coin from Perth Mint “C-“

Ordered 5, I got great service as usual but was kinda disappointed because all 5 rounds were milky looking. Not the quality I expected.

I bought several of these. One beautiful coin. No nicks, scrapes, or spots. These fit the same air-tite as the silver Eagle.

I have a unreasonable fear of spiders. Must say this is the 1st spider that I actually liked. Great detail .

I really like this coin its awesome and very well made but it is not frosted like the crocodile, in the display pictures if you put the two coins together they both look “frosted” but I just received mine and it has a mirror finish and is not at all like what is pictured, still a great coin but someone needs to make this clear!

I like these better than the salt water crocodile
