The first of the series was released in 2012, featuring a kookaburra on the coin. The kookaburra perches on a wooden fence against a backdrop of a field. After the kookaburra came several beautiful designs that featured an emu, a kangaroo, platypus, koala, shark, and crocodile.

Obverse Design

The obverse design of the 2015 Australian Redback Spider 1 oz Silver Coin has a frosted finish. The center of the coin features the profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The image of Her Majesty is surrounded by engravings that include the coins face value, year of issue, Australia and Elizabeth II.

Reverse Design

The reverse design of the 2015 Australian Redback Spider 1 oz Silver Coin features a colorized image with a crawling redback spider over it. The reverse of the coin also features engravings that detail the purity, weight and the metal content of the coins. Redback Spider and 2015 are also featured on the coin.
