Worldwide mintage of only 18,888 coins!
Each 2015 Canadian Lotus Silver Year of the Sheep contains .9999 fine silver bullion. It also comes with an Asian-themed box, a certificate of authenticity, and an individual number. Each coin has a beautiful proof finish and a $15 face value.
Produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, the Year of the Sheep Silver coin is the sixth installment in the Mint’s 12-part Lunar Lotus Series.
Composed of .999 fine silver, each coin has a diameter of 38mm and weighs 26g. Unlike other bullion coins, the Lunar Lotus has rounded, wavelike edges that add to its beautiful design.
Like its predecessors, the obverse of each coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of Canada. ELIZABETH II and D.G. REGINA — which stands for “Dei Gratia Regina” or “By the Grace of God, Queen” — are also inscribed.
The reverse features the headshot of a sheep, with a cluster of leaves in the background. CANADA, 15 DOLLARS and the year of mintage are engraved.
Diversify your portfolio — or add to your Lunar Lotus Series collection — by purchasing a Year of the Sheep Silver Coin, now available at Provident Metals.
About the Year of the Sheep
According to the Chinese zodiac, 2015 is the Year of the Sheep. The animal represents wealth, warmth and creativity. Because of its inherently gentle nature — meek, submissive and understanding — the sheep is blessed with good fortune.
About the Royal Canadian Mint
Founded in 1908, the Royal Canadian Mint is one of the world’s most advanced refiners of gold and silver. The Mint rose as the first to produce gold coins inscribed with the name CANADA, along with iconic Canadian images like the maple leaf and the coat of arms.
Today, the RCM markets to collectors and investors alike, producing a variety of high-quality bullion coins, wafers and bars.
