Obverse
On the obverse of all 2015 Mexican Libertad Silver Coins is a depiction of Winged Victory. Based on the goddess of victory known as Nike, her figure holds a wreath crown symbolizing victory and the right to self-governance. In this distinctive design used in Mexico, she also holds broken chains in her left hand that symbolizes freedom from tyranny and oppression.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2015 Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Silver Coins includes the modern Mexican Coat of Arms. This symbol includes a cactus branch with a Mexican golden eagle and serpent locked in battle on it. Above the seal is the inscriptions Estados Unidos Mexicanos, while a wreath completes the frame below.
History
Mexican Libertad Silver Coins debuted with a 1 oz silver weight in 1982. The series expanded in 1991 to feature four fractional-ounce coins, including these 1/10 oz coins. In 1996, the series expanded again to include a 2 oz and 5 oz silver coin.

Mexican Libertad coins are produced by the Mexican Mint. Founded in 1535, it is the oldest operating mint in the Western hemisphere and once coined colonial currency for Spanish territories throughout the Western hemisphere.
