The Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coin has been available from the Mexican Mint since 1982. The series is older than both the Canadian Maple Leaf Silver coins and the American Eagle Silver coins, yet it retains more of a cult following with lower mintages than both of its leading competitors in North America. Today, you have the chance to purchase 2015 Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals in perfect condition.

  • Arrives with a protective plastic slab courtesy of the PCGS!
  • 34th year of issue for the Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver coin!
  • Limited number of certified perfect coins available!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Graded Mint State 70 by the Professional Coin Grading Service.
  • On the obverse field is Winged Victory.
  • The reverse side includes several versions of the Mexican Coat of Arms.

Mexican Libertad Silver and Gold Coins are unique among major bullion coin programs. While both versions of the coin are considered legal tender backed by Banco de Mexico, neither version of the coin in any weight has a face value assigned. This puts the Mexican Libertad on the same ground as the South African Krugerrand Gold Coin, which is likewise considered legal tender in South Africa but does not have an assigned value.

On the obverse side of all 2015 Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find a vision of Winged Victory. This female personification of victory is based on the Roman goddess of victory, Nike. In traditional depictions, Nike holds a wreath crown in the air with one hand. In this Mexican version of victory, she holds that wreath crown while also clutching broken chains in the other. The inclusion of the chains denotes Mexicos successful victory over Spain and its freedom from colonial rule.

The reverse of 2015 Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coins includes the modern coat of arms for Mexico surrounded by 10 historical versions. Each seal shares commonalities in appearance, with the modern seal in the center boasting the Mexican golden eagle on a cactus as it battles a serpent.

Mexican Libertad 1 oz silver coins are the oldest and longest-running coins from the Mexican Mint. Introduced in this weight in 1982, it has been struck every year since that time. Other weights have been added over the course of time as well.

These 2015 Mexican Libertad 1 oz Silver Coins have Mint State 70 grades from the PCGS. This indicates the coins showcase full, original mint luster and no detracting flaws of any kind. Each one is individually sealed inside of a protective plastic slab to keep it safe.
