The Year of the Goat — the 8th animal in the Chinese zodiac — begins on Feb. 19, 2015 and lasts until Feb. 7, 2016. In total, 12 animals make up the 12-year cycle of the astrology system, with each animal representing characteristics that those that are born in that year display.

The obverse of this 1 oz gold bar features a goat standing before a mountainous terrain; its head slightly turned to the left. The inscriptions “2015,” “YEAR OF THE GOAT,” “.999 FINE GOLD” and “1 OUNCE TROY” are located near the bottom of the bar, with the Chinese symbol for goat.
The front of the durable CertiCard is stamped with the Chinese symbol for goat and the text “YEAR OF THE GOAT.”
The reverse of the gold bar carries a repeating diagonal pattern. The back of the CertiCard is details the bar’s weight and purity, and features the OPM logo and a “MADE IN THE U.S.A” statement. There is also a reminder to check the authenticity of each bar using UV light.
