History
The Royal Canadian Mint has released many different silver and gold bullion products into the coin market since the Mint was founded in 1908. The Silver Grizzly Bear coin series has shown intricate and unique designs, including the Catch, Togetherness, and the Family Clan. This coin collection has shown images from the daily life of a grizzly bear and certain activities that the bear is involved in. Previous releases from this series have shown pictures of bears in battle with one another and even during mating season.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2015 Proof Canadian $20 Grizzly Bear The Catch 1 oz Silver Coin Showcases the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunts and shows the right-facing profile of the Queen, who also wears a beaded pearl necklace. This necklace reflects the dots that encircle the edges of the coins obverse.
Reverse
