Like the 2014 and 2015 releases of the gold maples, the 2016 series features security marks to verify the authenticity of every coin. Each gold maple features micro-engraved radial lines. Visible on both sides of the coin, the radial line screate a pattern of light diffraction, producing a glow unique to the gold maples.
The reverse of the gold maple features the iconic maple leaf. “CANADA,” FINE GOLD 1/2 OZ OR PUR” and “9999” are inscribed close to the rim.
The obverse of the gold maple features an effigy of Her Magesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscriptions “20 DOLLARS”, “2016”, and “ELIZABETH II”.
Provident Metals ships each 2016 Gold Maple Leaf in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins will ship in plastic flips, and quantities of 10 will ship in sealed plastic sheets. Provident Metals does not sort or selectively ship Gold Maple Leafs. Each coin is shipped as it is received from the Royal Canadian Mint.
