Like the 2014 and 2015 releases of the gold maples, the 2016 line features security marks to verify the authenticity of every coin. Each gold coin features radial lines and a micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark that is visible under magnification — making Maple Leafs one of the more secure gold bullion coins in the world.
The reverse of the gold maple features the iconic Canadian maple leaf. The micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark is located next to the stem of the maple leaf. “CANADA,” FINE GOLD 1 OZ OR PUR” and “9999” are inscribed close to the rim.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse along with the inscriptions “50 DOLLARS”, “2016”, and “ELIZABETH II.” The unique radial line pattern is visible on both sides of the gold coin. The radial lines create a pattern of light diffraction, producing a glow unique to the gold maples.
Provident Metals ships each 2016 Gold Maple Leaf in Uncirculated condition. Individual coins will ship in plastic flips, and quantities of 10 will ship in sheets. Provident Metals does not sort or selectively ship gold maple leafs. Each coin is shipped as it is received from the Royal Canadian Mint.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

Ordered numerous maple leafs. Packaged well. Inside small plastic inserts for protection. No damage or scratches as I saw on other reviews which was a concern. Just record your opening of the goods for your documentation and you should be fine. Shipping was fairly fast. They actually held my package from delivery for me as I was in the middle of moving which was nice. I was also late on my payment by about 3-4 weeks due to some issue and there was no late fee, hassle or cancellation of my order. They did email me 2 times before I responded, so...again, a pleasant experience."
