Obverse

On the obverse of each 2016 Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin NGC MS70 ER, you will see the brilliant image of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. The design used on this coin was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. However, there is a newer image of the Queen that was released in 2015 that now appears on all commonwealth and British coins that was created by Jody Clark, so it is unclear why the older image is still being used on these coins.

Reverse

The reverse image of the 2016 Koala Silver Coin shows a koala climbing along a tree branch. Also included on this side of the coin are the engravings Australian Koala and 1 oz. 999 Fine Silver.

History
