The grey wolf, or simply wolf, is the largest member alive today in the Canidae family. This is the group of carnivorous dogs and includes domesticated dogs among its members. The average grey wolf male weighs up to 88 lbs and the average female weighs up to 82 lbs. Wolves are pack hunters and live in family groups that consist of a mating adult pair and their offspring.
