The reverse of this beautiful silver coin features a Maple Leaf, the national symbol of Canada. The reverse also carries a Mark V Tank Privy mark below and to the left of the maple leaf. The reverse is inscribed with “CANADA”, “9999”, and “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR”.
Like other coinage of the Commonwealth of Nations, the obverse of the silver maples carries the visage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning monarch in British history. The obverse is also inscribed with “ELIZABETH II”, “5 DOLLARS”, and “2016”.
The label encapsulated with this coin certifies that each is Proof MS69 condition, and among the coins that were issued on the first day of release by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC).

…ordered the NGC PF69 – 1st day issue to compare to the “standard” lot of 2016 CSMLs – reverse proof that can be purchased approx $10 less – with just 2X mag. it’s easy to discern distinctions such as tertiary lines on the maple leaf, and tracks on the tank are more readily apparent when viewing the PF69 – although the “standard” rev. pf. CSMLs are far from shabby – they are a fine coin. Will keep buying occasional PF69/70s for numismatic value and interest.
