Obverse
The obverse side of the coin features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. This design first appeared on Perth Mint silver bullion in 1999 and was used through 2018 on most coin programs, rolling out to all Perth Mint Australian coins by 2019. In this portrait, Queen Elizabeth II wears the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, one of her favorite.
Reverse
On the reverse face of the coin is a colorized field that includes multiple images befitting the holiday season. There is a golden candle in the center of the design with a white wick from which a brilliant flame bursts forth. There is a red ribbon tied neatly around the candle and multiple leaves of holly with red berries framing the design field. The rest of the coin background on this side includes the original silver finish.
