Obverse

The obverse face of these coins bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile portraiture. The Queen has appeared on all commonwealth coins since she took the throne in 1952. This is the fourth-generation image of the Queen used on commonwealth coinage since she became queen. It was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Reverse

On the reverse, you will see the image of a steam locomotive barreling down the tracks of this railway in the mountainous region of Siberia. To finish the design, you will an olive-green piece of Mother of Pearl on the reverse side of these coins.

The Trans-Siberian Railway is 5,772 miles long, which makes it the longest railway line in the world. It connects Moscow to the port city of Bladivostok. Completion of the railway occurred in 1916.
