The obverse design of the 2016 Tuvalu Norse Gods Thor 2 oz Silver Coin features the right-profile effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait was imagined in 1998 by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. The image of Her Majesty is accompanied by engravings that identify her name, the weight, purity, and metal content of the coin, as well as the year of issue, nation of issue, and face value of the coin.
