In 2016, the United States Mint released a special gold series to celebrate the 100th anniversary of three well-known designs from American coinage. The 2016 American Gold Centennial Series includes 24-karat gold versions of the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Standing Liberty Quarter, and Mercury Dime. Each coin in the 2016-W American 100th Anniversary Centennial Gold 3-Coin Set displays an image of Liberty on the obverse. The 1/2 oz coin shows Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty, the 1/10 oz coin features his Winged Liberty design (commonly called the Mercury Dime), and the 1/4 oz coin highlights Hermon Atkins MacNeils Standing Liberty.
Obverse
The American Centennial Gold Series honors the artistic shift in U.S. coinage during the early 1900s. By 1916, the long-used Barber coinage (designed by Charles E. Barber) for the half dollar, quarter, and dime was replaced with new art by Weinman and MacNeil. Their Liberty designs quickly became collector favorites.
Reverse
These 2016-W American 100th Anniversary Centennial Gold 3-Coin Sets include coins graded Mint State 70, the highest grade available. Coins in this condition retain their full mint luster and show no visible marks. The First Strike label means they were received for grading within 30 days of their release.
History
On the reverse of the coins, youll see the original images from their classic circulation versions. The 1/2 oz gold coin presents Weinmans bald eagle on a rock ledge, the 1/10 oz gold coin carries his Roman fasces with an olive branch, and the 1/4 oz gold coin features MacNeils bald eagle flying overhead.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
