The obverse of the 2016-W American Walking Liberty Half Dollar Gold Coin elegantly portrays the iconic figure of Walking Liberty. An artistic marvel by Adolph A. Weinman, this depiction created in 1916 captures Liberty’s stride toward the sun, draped in the stars and stripes, with oak branches held in her grasp. Inscriptions read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, W, and 2016.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2016-W Walking Liberty Half Dollar 1/2 oz Gold Coin boasts Adolph A. Weinman’s rendition of the bald eagle, perched majestically on a cliff with a young sapling clutched in its talons, the artist’s initials subtly inscribed. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, AW, ALL 24K 1/2 OZ, and HALF DOLLAR.

Among these revered designs are the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, the Standing Liberty Quarter, and the Mercury Dime.
