The United States Mint will release 125,000 of these coins and all other coins in the 2016 Gold Centennial Commemorative Coin Series. The coins in this listing will arrive with 100th-anniversarylabels inside of their NGC plastic slabs.

In this listing, the 2016-W Mercury Dime 1/10 oz Gold Coins all have Specimen Proof 70 grades from the NGC. This means that these coins have a perfect, proof-like finish with zero detracting flaws. As Early Release coins, each of these coins arrived at the NGC within the first 30 days of the coins release from the U.S. Mint.

The obverse of each coin shows Weinmans left-profile portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a winged cap. On this side of the coin, the word LIBERTY is engraved around Lady Libertys head. You will also see IN GOD WE TRUST, the W mint mark, and the release year.

On the reverse, you can see the image of the Roman fasces, which are known to represent strength and unity, wrapped in an olive branch to represent peace.

In the early 20th century, Adolph A. Weinman played a large role in the revitalization of American coinage. This Winged Liberty design replaces Charles E. Barbers 1892 design and became known as the Mercury Dime due to the similarities in appearance to the Roman God Mercury, the messenger of the Gods.
