Releases for that program, the First Spouse Gold Coin Program, began in 2007 with the objective of commemorating each of the nation’s First Spouses in order from the very beginning until the early Nineties. The final year of the program was 2016, and the first issue in that year was devoted to Patricia “Pat” Nixon.
