Obverse
The obverse face of each coin showcases the image of Queen Elizabeth II as designed by Susanna Blunt in 2003. This right-profile image is the latest to appear on Canadian coinage, as Her Majesty has been on all Canadian coinage since 1952 when she was crowned.
Reverse
The reverse image of each coin is actually a sculpture. This sculpture depicts a grizzly bear in stunning detail. In fact, you can even see individual hairs on the bears body as it walks along the banks of a stream. The sculpture is plated with gold.
History
The Royal Canadian Mint opened its doors in 1908 as an offshoot of Great Britains Royal Mint. However, demand increased so much that a second facility opened in the 1980s to help the original Ottawa branch. This new location now produces coins out of Winnipeg.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
