The Queens Beast Series from the Royal Mint showcases British Royal heritage from over hundreds of years. The beasts featured in the designs of this series come from the Kings and Queens of England who have reigned over the kingdom. The 2017 British Queens Beast Griffin 1/4 oz Gold Coin is available from Provident Metals today in Mint State 69 condition from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.

This is the second design of the Queens Beast series released by the Royal Mint. Each new release will feature the design of one of the ten beasts that were placed outside Westminster Abbey on the day of Queen Elizabeth IIs coronation ceremony. The first release was the Lion of England.
Obverse
On the obverse of all of the coins in the Queens Beast series, you will find the image of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. This is the fifth-generation image used to depict Her Majesty since 1952. The portrait was created by Jody Clark.
Reverse
The reverse image on the 2017 British Queens Beast Griffin 1/4 oz Gold Coins is of the Griffin of Edward III. The design features a griffin standing with its talons on the seal of Edward III. Its wings are spread wide above its head.
History
The Royal Mint of England is honoring the ten heraldic beasts in this coin series. The coins in this listing feature the mythical griffin. A griffin has the head, wings, and front talons of an eagle with the body of a lion. Griffins were considered to be the most powerful animals in the world due to the power of both the lion and eagle. Lions are considered kings of beasts, while eagles are considered the kings of birds.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
