The Chinese Panda bullion coins from the Chinese Mint are available on an annual basis in five gold weights and one silver weight. The gold bullion coins were introduced in 1982, while the silver bullion coins were not established with standardized weights and metallic purity levels until 1989. Right now, you can buy near-perfect condition 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of a 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin, you receive an item that has a near-perfect certification from the PCGS. Coins in Mint State 69 condition exhibit full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws present. Examples of acceptable flaws at this level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines and those flaws must be outside the primary focal points of the coin.
On top of that, these coins come with a First Strike label. This means the coins were received by the PCGS or an approved third-party depository within the original 30-day window following release by the Chinese Mint.
Obverse
The exterior faade of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is featured on the obverse of the 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin. Depicted on this face of the coin every year, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is located in south-central Beijing in the Temple of Heaven Complex. The building and broader complex were built between 1406 and 1420.
Reverse
For the reverse side of 2017 Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins, the Chinese Mint offers an exclusive design you will only find on this date mark. The image features a Giant Panda species seated on its backside while eating bamboo, a plant that makes up 99% of its diet.
History
Chinese Panda Gold Coins launched in 1982 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options. In 1983, a 1/20 oz coin was added. In 2016, all five weights were changed to Grams for the unit of measurement and the new options included the 30 Gram, 15 Gram, 8 Gram, 3 Gram, and 1 Gram coins.
