The movies storyline takes Sally on a journey to reduce McQueens ego and help him to see the calm and beauty of the simple things in life, like the history little town she loves. Sally helps McQueen learn that there is more to life than just being the best on the Piston Cup circuit.

The obverse design of the 2017 Proof Niue Disney Cars Sally 1 oz Silver Coin features the 1998 right-profile effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait of Her Majesty was designed by fame sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. It is the fourth-generation image of the Queen that has been featured on British and commonwealth coinage since she ascended to the throne in 1952.
