As an annually minted coin, the 2017 30g Silver Panda is a staple for many investors. Each silver bullion coin is made of 30 grams of .999 fine silver, with 450 coins inside each monster box. The Silver Panda is unique among sovereign minted coins because it gets a new reverse design annually.
The coin’s obverse, which remains the same year after year, has a beautiful design of Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. Inscriptions of “PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA” in Chinese and “2017” circle the coin’s rim.
The new reverse design for 2017 is a panda with a bamboo shoot in its hands sitting in front of a bamboo forest. To acknowledge the panda’s well-known bi-colored fur, the bear’s eyes, ears, and legs have a proof-like finish. The coin’s denomination, weight, and metal purity are inscribed on this side as well.
Silver Pandas have been manufactured by the Chinese Mint since 1983. The mint did away with the troy ounce standard in 2016 and adopted a metric weight system for all Panda coins. Weight and purity of these coins are guaranteed through the People’s Bank of China.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
