The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II” and “AUSTRALIA,” along with the coin’s weight, purity, denomination, and year of issue.
A stylised Chinese dragon winds around the reverse, chasing a flaming pearl. Clouds, wind, and water can be seen in the background, along with the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark. Chinese culture reveres the dragon as a divine mythical creature and a symbol of strength, wealth, and good fortune.
This 1 oz silver coin is the Perth Mint’s first rectangular bullion coin, making it a unique addition to any precious metals collection. The rectangular coins come without capsule and packed in plastic tubes of 20. Ten tubes fit into a monster box, which contains a total of 200 coins.

Unless you Purchase a Large amount of bullion the price you save is not worth the time it takes for your check to clear Provident clearly states it takes 5 days for your check to clear so the discount isn't enough for the wait unless your purchase is a large one..But you can always count on Provident for great coins."

Normally I stack your “typical” ASE and CSL coins along with various 10 oz bars. This was my first 1 oz bar that I got as the design caught my attention. After arrival and seeing it in person the title says it all “Impressive”! Will be ordering more of these to add to the stack!

The Dragon is so shiny it really stands out from the rest of the bar, I really like it. The other side of the bar is dull and not shiny but that is OK I don’t like the Queen any way. Her name and date are shiny but the Australia 1 oz 9999 AG and 1 dollar are hard to see. I just wish the Australia 1 oz 9999 AG and the 1 dollar were shiny so you could see them better. I will buy more love the shiny Dragon.
