Chinese Panda Gold Coins were introduced by the Chinese Mint in 1982 with four weights in total, gaining a fifth weight in 1983. The series is famous for its use of a fresh Giant Panda design on the reverse side each year. More recently, the Chinese Mint garnered headlines in the precious metals industry by abandoning Troy ounces in favor of Grams for its Chinese Panda coins. Provident Metals now offers the 2018 Chinese Panda 8 Gram Gold Coin for purchase in perfect condition.

Coins in MS70 condition have full, original mint luster and no detracting flaws of any kind on the surface areas or design elements. These coins may also feature additional labels. On the obverse field of 2018 Chinese Panda Gold Coins is a depiction of the primary structure in the Temple of Heaven complex. The Taoist religious complex was built in Beijing between 1406 and 1420. This building is the Hall of Prayer for Abundant harvests and is the largest structure in this complex.

The reverse face of 2018 Chinese Panda 8 Gram Gold Coins includes the face of a single panda. This Giant Panda is intently focused on the bamboo leaves in its paws. The Giant Panda consumes 99% of the nutrients in its diet from bamboo.

Chinese Panda Gold Coins transitioned away from Troy ounces as the primary unit of measurement in 2016. The 2018 year marked the third release of the coins with Grams instead. These 8 Gram Gold Coins replaced the previously issued Chinese Panda 1/4 oz Gold Panda coin with a slighter heavier weight in Grams and a slightly larger diameter.

2018 Chinese Panda 8 Gram Gold Coins are chosen at random once your payment processes. We cannot guarantee the presence of any additional labels or select various different labels if you buy more than one. All coins ship in a protective plastic slab.
