Obverse

The obverse face of the 2018 Barbados Trident Pineapple Privy 1 oz Silver Coin showcases the coat of arms for the country of Barbados. The shield features a hand emerging from the helmet above. There are also two crossed sugarcane stalks, which honors one of the primary crops of the island nation. On this side of the coin, you will also see a small trident head located below the 18 in the date mark.

Reverse

On the reverse side of these coins, you will notice the head of a trident. It appears on the national flag of Barbados. Many people associate the trident with the weapon of the God of the Sea, Neptune. Even though the trident is a real tool, most people think of Neptunes tridents power to control the oceans. To the right of the trident, you will see the pineapple privy mark that makes these coins unique.

History

The Scottsdale Mint released the initial Barbados Trident coins with a background field on the reverse that featured waves of the ocean instead of the national flag. This new design was well-received with both collectors and investors.
