Her figure is shown here as it is viewed at the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. Known as the Angel of Independence, the statue at the top of the column stands 22-feet tall and holds a crown wreath in one hand with an olive branch in the other.

Reverse

The modern coat of arms for the nation of Mexico is visible on the reverse side of the 2018 Proof Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Gold Coins. While the larger 1 oz coin in this series has a ring of 10 historic versions of the same seal on this face of the coin, the 1/10 oz gold coin and its fractional-ounce counterparts feature only the modern version of the coat of arms. This includes the Mexican golden eagle battling a serpent on a cactus arm. Around the seal is the inscription of Estados Unidos Mexicanos and a wreath.
