Coins that have been certified by the NGC as PF69 have their full and original mint luster. These coins can have just a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. The flaws are limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines from the minting process.

The included Early Release label indicates the timing of the arrival for certification for the coins. To earn the ER label, coins must arrive for certification within 30 days of their initial release date from the Royal Canadian Mint.

The reverse design of the 2018 Canadian Wood Bison Privy Maple Leaf Reverse Proof 1 oz Silver Coin features the Walter Ott sugar maple leaf design. This design was originally featured on the Gold Maple Leaf in 1979. It continues to be used on all versions of the coin today. Also on the reverse side of the coin is the wood bison privy mark. The wood bison is a smaller cousin of the North American bison. The weight and silver content of the coin is also engraved on the coin, in both English and French.
