The total mintage of 5,000 gold medals was spread across four packaging options that included blue, black, red, and white assay cards. The mintage is split evenly across the four assay card label colors with 1,250 gold medallions available in each of the colors.
Obverse
The obverse side of all South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang 1/10 oz Gold Medals features the same design. Do ggae bi is depicted on this side of the coin as showcased on the battle shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang. This design appears on the obverse of the medals in this series with all date mark releases. You will also find the KOMSCO latent security image on this side of the gold medals.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2018 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang 1/10 oz Gold Medallions is a depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang on horseback as he rides into battle. He lowers his sword toward an enemy ready to cut the individual down. It is a safe bet that most of his enemies went to the next life with this image of Chiwoo Cheonwang in their heads.
History
South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Gold Medals were introduced in 2016 alongside the silver version of the medal. The gold series offers more variety in terms of weight with the 1 oz gold medal accompanied by fractional-ounce options, of which the 1/10 oz is the most readily available option.

Your 2018 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang 1/10 oz Gold Medals ships in the blue assay card that includes depictions of Do ggae bi on both sides with white stenciled artwork. The assay card features certificate information that features an assayers mark along with the weight, metal content, and purity.
