In each release since 2014, the 1/10 oz coin has been the most popular of the four size options. The 2019 versions outsold all three other American Eagle Gold Coins combined, selling over 140,000 coins, while the other three sold only 118,000 combined.
Obverse
The obverse of the American Eagle Gold Coin bears the image of Lady Liberty in all of her glory. The design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens back in 1907, and it symbolizes the freedom that America offers to all of its citizens. On the coin, Lady Liberty walks forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch signifying peace in the other.
Reverse
On the reverse of the American Eagle Gold Coins, you will see Miley Busieks 1986 design of a female eagle in her nest. The eagle is using her wing to shelter her hatchling. You can also see a large male eagle flying toward the next with a branch.
