Obverse
The obverse field of 2019 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins includes the effigy of Liberty. This front-facing design first appeared on the $20 Gold Double Eagle coin in the United States from 1907 to 1933. It was designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and features Liberty walking away from Washington DC with a torch held out in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand.
Reverse

The 1 oz gold and 1/10 oz gold coins have traded off and on as the top-selling coin among the four, with the 1 oz gold coin finishing tops throughout most of the 2010s.
