Obverse
The obverse of 2019 Antique Mexican Libertad 2 oz Silver Coins features the same beautiful depiction of Winged Victory found on all other versions in the series. The image of Winged Victory is inspired by the Roman goddess of victory, Nike. Her figure holds up a wreath crown in her right hand while clutching the broken chains of servitude in her left hand.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2019 Antique Mexican Libertad 2 oz Silver Coins are several design features. The primary element is the modern coat of arms of Mexico in the center. It depicts a golden eagle on the arm of a cactus struggling to contain a snake using its talons and beak. Estados Unidos Mexicanos is inscribed above with a wreath below. Around the outer edge of the design field there are 10 historical versions of the same coat of arms previously used by Mexico.

The Mexican Mint offers the Mexican Libertad Silver Coins in a number of weights and versions. The bullion coins came first in 1982, followed swiftly by the proof series. Since then, a 1 Kilogram proof-like coin has been introduced along with a reverse proof silver coin series. The antique option is the latest introduction.
