Inscriptions identify the nation of issue as Republic of Armenia at the bottom in English, with the same name in Armenian at the top. The face value of 500 Dram is shown, along with 1 oz Ag 999.

Reverse

The reverse field of the 2019 Armenian Noahs Ark 1 oz Silver Coin boasts a depiction of the ark of Noah floating on the floodwaters. The rains have ended, but the waters have not yet receded as the sun rises over Mount Ararat in the distance. A dove flies back to the ark with an olive branch in its talons, signifying that dry land has been found. Noahs Ark has been engraved on this face of the coin.

History

The Armenian Noahs Ark Series was introduced in 2011 with a 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz silver coin. One year later, the mint behind the series significantly expanded the series to include four more coins over 1 oz silver in weight. These included 5 oz, 10 oz, 1 Kilo, and 5 Kilo silver coins. All seven versions of the coin are still available to this day.
