Obverse
The obverse of 2019 Australian Dragon and Phoenix Silver Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. Designed by Jody Clark in 2015 for The Royal Mint, this image shows Her Majesty at 89 years old wearing the George IV State Diadem. This is the sixth portrait of Elizabeth II used on Australian coins. The inscriptions read ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, 10 OZ 9999 AG, 2019, and 10 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2019 Dragon and Phoenix 10 oz Silver Coin showcases the dragon and phoenix circling each other with a flaming pearl at the center. The dragon stands for strength and good fortune, while the phoenix, known as Fenghuang, symbolizes grace and virtue. The lone inscription is that of the P mint mark of the Perth Mint.
