The obverse design of the 2019 Australian Kookaburra 1 oz Silver Coin features the right-profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is depicted wearing the Royal Diadem crown and the Victorian coronation earrings. Unlike other previous effigies of Her Majesty, this one features her shoulders and her neckline. This is the first portrait to show her neckline and shoulders since 1996.

Reverse

The reverse design of the 2019 Australian Kookaburra 1 oz Silver Coin features the 2019 design of the kookaburra birth. This largest bird in the kingfisher family is shown settled on a branch that is sunken beneath the serene waters of a lake. The sun is shown to be setting, with the sun being reflected in the water ripples.
