Platinum Philharmonic coins are produced by the Austrian Mint to honor the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra – one of the nation’s finest cultural traditions. Platinum Philharmonics were first introduced in 2016, and like their gold and platinum counterparts, they’ve become a worldwide hit with investors and collectors alike.
Much rarer than gold or silver, platinum enjoys an ever-growing demand for industrial uses, trades at a lower spot price than gold and palladium, and boasts a strong price track record. With its perfect combination of rarity, utility, and investment value, Platinum should be a part of every investor’s portfolio. And the 2019 Austrian 1 oz Platinum Philharmonic is the perfect foundation for a long-term precious metals investment. Add one to your collection today!
The obverse of the Platinum Philharmonic features the Great Organ in one of Austria’s most famous concert halls, the Golden Hall. Inscriptions include “REPUBLIK OSTERREICH” and “1 UNZE PLATIN,” along with the denomination, purity, and year of issue.
The coin’s reverse showcases an array of orchestral instruments, including a french horn, bassoon, harp, cello, and four violins. Inscriptions include “WIENER PHILHARMONIKER” and “PLATIN.”
