This mythical beast is often recorded as having a goat-like or antelope-like body with the tusks of a boar and twisted horns. In this particular design, the Yale supports the shield from the personal badge of King Henry VII. The founding monarch of the House of Tudor, Henry VII inherited the Yale of Beaufort from his mother, Lady Margaret who was the only heiress of the Beaufort.
