The 2019 British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort 2 oz Silver Coin features the beast known as the Yale. This mythical beast was the token of Lady Margaret Beaufort, who was the mother of King Henry VII. Lady Margaret was the sole heir of the Duke of Somerset, John Beaufort. Her son, Henry, took the throne of England after defeating King Richard III, to finally end the Wars of the Roses. Her heraldic beast followed Henry who was the first in the Tudor dynasty.

This 2019 British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort 2 oz Silver Coin is sold in near-perfect condition. The NGC has rated these coins a Mint State 69 certification.

Designed in 2015, for the Royal Mint of England by Jody Clark, this right-profile portrait has been featured on coinage depicting Her Majesty at 89 years of age.

Reverse

The reverse design of the 2019 British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort 2 oz Silver Coin features the image of the seal of Lady Margaret Beaufort. This seal features a quartered shield that has white and blue fields. The Yale, a mythical beast often depicted as a goat or antelope, is shown supporting the shield. The Yale is often shown with horns atop its head and boar tusks.
