Since its introduction in 1988, the Royal Canadian Mint’s Silver Maple Leaf has been one of the world’s best-selling silver bullion coins. It is also the world’s most secure bullion coins, thanks to innovative security features such as precision radial lines, advanced engraving, and the Royal Canadian Mint’s proprietary BULLION DNA anti-counterfeiting technology.

In 2019, the Royal Canadian Mint is following up their launch of the 2018 1 oz. Silver Incuse Maples with a second release! While last year’s issue commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Silver Maple leaf, this year’s issue commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Gold Maple Leaf series. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Gold Maple leaf series, the Royal Canadian Mint is introducing a double-incuse version of the Maples, in which both Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s portrait on the obverse and the maple leaf design on the reverse are impressed below the coin’s surface. Add one of these limited-edition coins from one of the top mints in the world to your order today!

Obverse

The obverse of the 2019 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf features the regal portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in a unique incuse design. The issuing year of the coin, the Queen’s name, and the $5 Canadian face value are also inscribed on the coin.

Reverse

The reverse features the iconic sugar maple leaf in the center of the design field, with an incused striking that is impressed below the coin’s surface. A small, micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy sits below the larger one and features the year of issue, which it is only visible when magnified. The background on both sides includes radial lines for security against counterfeiting. The nation of issue, purity of the coin, and its metal content and weight are also engraved on the coin.
