The horse breed known simply as the Canadian Horse is a strong, muscular breed of horse that is typically dark in color and was brought to Canada in the 1600s. It is descended from two different breeds of horse: a draft horse and a light riding horse. Over the course of the next 300 years, three different subspecies of the Canadian Horse emerged with specific abilities in mind that include powerful draft horses, trotting horses, and pacing horses. The Canadian Horse became popular abroad as well and was popularly exported to the United States during the American Civil War where it saw action as a cavalry horse.

On the obverse of the 2019 Canadian Wild Horse Reverse Proof 3/4 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth-generation effigy of Her Majesty on Canadian coins as created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. The portrait is the first since those of King George VI to depict the monarch without a crown and is set in right-profile relief to follow the tradition of switching the monarchs viewing direction. The Queens father, King George VI, was depicted in left-profile relief instead.

The reverse of 2019 Canadian Wild Horse Reverse Proof 3/4 oz Silver Coins includes the image of a Canadian Horse. The creatures face and long mane are shown in this design. This face of the coin includes the Royal Canadian Mints micro laser-engraved maple leaf privy mark for enhanced security.

A traditional proof coin has frosted design elements and mirrored background fields. Coins such as these flip those visuals to put a frosted polish on the background field and mirrored polishes on the design elements for a distinctive contrast between the fields.

2019 Canadian Wild Horse Reverse Proof 3/4 oz Silver Coins are available individually with protective plastic flips. You can purchase the coin in multiples of 30 with mint tubes and multiples of 600 inside of boxes.
