While the Proof American Eagle Silver coin program is one of the more popular series in the world, the 2019 edition struck in San Francisco is one of the lowest minted coins in the program’s history. This is because San Francisco only resumed striking proofs of this coin in 2018 and 2019. Parlayed with a PCGS grade, this 2019-S Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is among the rarest in the collection.

2019-S Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins will be shipped in PCGS protective plastic slabs. DCAM are proofs with deep-cameo visual keys, which indicate that the coins have strong, frosted matte design elements. These coins are graded PR69 which indicates near-perfection conditions. These coins feature their full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detractions.
Obverse
All 2019-S Proof American Eagle 1 oz Coins will feature the Walking Liberty on the obverse field. This depiction of Liberty is shown with the American flag draped over her shoulder as she walks to the sun on the left side of the coin. Inscriptions on the field include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2019.
Reverse
The reverse field of 2019-S Proof American Eagle Silver Coins will depict the heraldic eagle on the reverse. This front and center image of the bald eagle features 13 five-point stars located above the eagles head. Inscriptions on the reverse read UNITED STATED OF AMERICA, S, ONE DOLLAR, FINE SILVER 1 OZ, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
History
The PCGS has been grading coins since 1985. Proofs are prefaced with PR before the grade which is on a 1-70 scale created by Dr. William Sheldon. The PCGS, along with the NGC, is one of the most reputable coin-grading providers in the industry.
