Queen Elizabeth II is depicted on the obverse side of the Canadian coin in right-profile relief in the Susanna Blunt design from 2003.

The reverse face of each 2019 US Mint Pride of Two Nations coin features a different national symbol. On the reverse of the Canadian coin is the sugar maple leaf as designed in 1979 by Walter Ott. The reverse of the American coin includes the heraldic eagle of the United States as designed by John Mercanti in 1986.

The 2019 Pride of Two Nations set offers unique versions of the American Eagle Silver coin and Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin. The Canadian Maple Leaf is a traditional reverse proof coin with frosted background fields and mirrored designs. The American Eagle has a variety of alternating polished and mirrored fields for truly distinctive visual effect.
