This design was created in 1907 and depicts the eagle clutching a small sapling on a rock cliff with its wings back behind its figure. History

American Eagle Palladium Coins debuted in 2017 as a Brilliant Uncirculated specimen. In 2018, the US Mint issued the coin as a proof specimen with frosted designs and mirrored fields. These 2019 coins are reverse proof specimens with mirrored designs and frosted fields. The first two date marks had mintages of just 15,000 coins and sold out at the mint, while these 2019 coins had a mintage of 30,000 coins.
