History
Burnished American Eagle Gold Coins debuted in 2006 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. This continued from 2006 to 2008, but after the 2009-2010 suspension of the program, the coins continued in 2011 with only the 1 oz gold coin available.
