The obverse face of 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins bears the design of Lady Liberty from the $20 Gold Double Eagle. Created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the image depicts Liberty in front-facing relief with her hair and robe blowing in the breeze as she walks away from the US Capitol Building. She holds a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand.

On the reverse side of 2020 American Eagle Gold Coins is an exclusive design of the American bald eagle. Created by Miley Busiek, this design features a family of three American bald eagles. The male is depicted flying overhead as a female shelters a young hatchling under her wing in the nest.

American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins are struck to meet demand each year, resulting in countless ups and downs in mintage figures. The highest mintage figure remains the 1986 debut issue with its 726,000 coins sold.

All 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins with a certification from the NGC are securely packaged after grading. Each coin is individually housed inside of a protective plastic slab with labels indicating the grade and date mark of the coin.
