Each coin is assigned a numeric grade on the Sheldon numeric scale of 1 to 70. A grade of 70 represents a perfect coin. Once graded, the coins are sealed inside of a protective plastic slab.


On the obverse of 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins is the depiction of Lady Liberty from Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This design was created in 1907 and features Liberty in front-facing relief with a large torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. Her figure is surrounded by 50 stars and she walks away from Washington D.C. guiding the nation to a brighter, peaceful future.


The reverse of 2020 American Eagle Gold Coins has the exclusive Miley Busiek design of American bald eagles. Not found on any other American coins, this design includes a male eagle flying over the nest as a female guards a hatchling in the nest.


Recent years have seen the American Eagle Gold coins all drop in demand. The 2015 release of the American Eagle Gold Coin marked the last high-water mark at 158,000 coins, but figures have declined in each year to just 26,000 coins in 2019.

Can I choose the method of shipping?

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.

Will I need to sign for my package?

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.

What about International Orders?

Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
