The best-selling silver coin in the world is the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin. Introduced by the United States Mint in 1986, this coin has set sales records that no other coin has reached. Its all-time record high was 47 million coins sold in 2015 alone. Today, you can purchase the 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The early 2010s saw the American Eagle Silver Coin set sales records that no other coin has matched in the silver bullion market. Between 2010 and 2015 alone, the US Mint reported sales in excess of 242,130,000 American Eagle silver bullion coins. Although recent years have seen the mintage figures fall, the coins still remain above the levels issued annually at any point between 1986 and 2007.
Obverse
Walking Liberty appears on the obverse of the 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins every year. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this iconic image first appeared on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar circulating coin from the US Mint between 1916 and 1947. It has been the face of the American Eagle silver coins since 1986.
Reverse
The reverse of 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins features the modern image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This seal has appeared on countless US coins since it was designed in 1794 by Robert Scot, the 1st Chief Engraver of the United States. This particular depiction comes from John Mercanti and was modified in 1986 specifically for the release of the American Eagle Silver Coins.
History
American Eagle Silver Coins debuted in 1986 alongside the American Eagle Gold Coins as the official bullion coins of the United States. Since that time, the US Mint has added an American Eagle Platinum Coin (1997) and an American Eagle Palladium Coin (2017).

"
Got my order, all was in great shape! Packaged EXCEPTIONALLY well and arrived in pristine condition.... unlike my package from days earlier. Called Provident, left my name, number and reason for calling. Got a return call from "Mitsy" and everything was handled wonderfully. My packaged looked like it had gotten punted like a football and heavily damaged. I requested my future parcels to be shipped UPS and I am sooooo happy. Mitsy...you rock girl! Thank you so much. I'll always refer others to purchase from Provident (oh if they would have listened to me way, way earlier). Love my 2020 ASE's!!! Yeah, the premiums are way up, wow, but it is what it is. Least you can still buy them here! Thanks Provident and everyone who busted their ass in the craziness over the last two/three weeks. You ALL just rock!"
