Obverse
You will find the image of Walking Liberty on the obverse of the 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin. This design was created in 1916 and used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar until 1947. Walking Liberty is in left-profile relief with her right hand reaching for the sun on the horizon, her left hand holding branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag draped over her shoulders.
Reverse
For the reverse of 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins, the US Mint uses the modern version of the heraldic eagle of the United States. The eagle is set with the heraldic shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other. A triangular cluster of 13 stars above its head represents the original colonies that rebelled to form the United States of America.

American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are produced by the West Point Mint. Since 2001, the West Point Mint has been the primary home for the coins in the American Eagle Series. Previously, the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin was produced by the San Francisco Mint from 1986 to 1998 and then the Philadelphia Mint in 1999 and 2000.
