The Canadian Maple Leaf Series is a leading bullion coin collection that boasts variety for precious metals investors. These popular coins may feature the same designs on the obverse and reverse each year, but the Royal Canadian Mint offers the coins in silver, gold, platinum, and palladium, with six weights available in the gold bullion range. Today, you can purchase the 2020 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coin online from Provident Metals.
2020 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the Royal Canadian Mint. Individual coins will ship with a protective plastic flip, while multiples are housed either inside of mint tubes of 10 or Monster Boxes of 500 coins. All modern Canadian Maple Leaf Gold coins have radial lines in the background field on both sides, with an additional laser-etched maple leaf privy security feature on the reverse.
The obverse face of 2020 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins includes the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image was designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt and is accompanied by inscriptions of Elizabeth II, 50 Dollars, and 2020.
For the reverse, 2020 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coins feature the 1979 design of the sugar maple leaf from Walter Ott. This iconic symbol features on all metallic versions and weights of the Canadian Maple Leaf Coin series. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include Canada at the top, 9999 on each side of the maple leaf, and Fine Gold 1 oz Or Pur along the bottom.
Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coins debuted in 1979 with a 1 oz gold coin as the only option. The 1/4 and 1/10 oz coins were added in 1982, the 1/2 oz in 1986, the 1/20 oz in 1994, and the 1 Gram option in 2014.
The Royal Canadian Mint produces the Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins at its Ottawa Mint facility, the original location for the RCM and the mint facility responsible for production of all bullion and numismatic coinage for the country. The Winnipeg Mint handles the production of circulation currency and banknotes in the RCM system.
